Cozy spot despite a few quirks

So we spent two nights here and it was pretty cozy overall. Showers were absolutely fab but, man, the doors were way too noisy! You could hear every key turn and slam. On the bright side, we loved the picnic area outside! Just make sure to keep your key handy or you’re stuck outside your room.

I loved the fabulous access to walking routes and nearby attractions like the Grjotagja Cave, which is just a few steps away, and the beautiful Myvatn Nature Baths a short drive from the guesthouse, making it easy to immerse myself in stunning natural landscapes. the shared kitchen facilities created a cozy atmosphere where I got to meet fellow travelers, which I really appreciated during my stay.

Fantastic breakfast and very clean, but WiFi was slow at times.

The location is fantastic, right near key attractions like the baths and Krafla crater, making it easy to explore the area. The breakfast features exceptional options, showcasing a great variety that adds a nice touch to the beginning of your day.

The noise levels can be a real nuisance, especially from the shared kitchen and bathrooms. Thin walls make it easy to hear your neighbors, and the heating system in the rooms is a bit overzealous, leading to uncomfortable warmth even with the window open. Also, there's no clear signage about removing shoes in the common areas, which can lead to a bit of a cleanliness issue for the rule-followers.

Staying here was a highlight of our trip to Iceland. The shared kitchen made it easy to prepare meals and connect with other guests, while the breakfast offered a great variety of local products that started our days off right. We experienced the Northern Lights right outside our door, which was simply magical. The only drawback was the shared bathroom situation, which got a bit crowded during peak morning hours.

We had a lovely stay here this valentine's day. The breakfast featured fresh pastries and an excellent selection of organic juices, which really impressed us. The room was spacious enough to enjoy the beautiful view outside and we had all the essentials we needed.
